A WINTER SOUL

The trees in a jacket,

The birds in thick fur,

The gras hibernating,

The seeds in a pod.

The wind blows and blowinG,

The ducks TO and fro,

The snow stops falling,

Will rain ever stop?

The trees casting shadows,

As long as they fall,

The silver in clouds,

Of green and of gold,

Of brief rainbows shining,

And soon they will go.

Oh winter of winters,

Oh cold in the soul,

Of people who wander,

Alone in this world…
